Coral Sea Flyfishing

Doing Battle with your Flyrod as your only weapon!

If you are after an extreme bluewater flyfishing adventure the Coral Sea is the place for you. This really is the ultimate adventure. We are only just starting to explore the potential of flyfishing around the reefs and lagoons of the Coral Sea. We fly you out to these reefs via floatplane and you spend the week fishing some of the most spectacular coral attols in the world. This is a truly unique fishing experience. Already we have discovered amazing flyfishing on the flats of the reef lagoons for mega GT's, bluefin and goldspot trevally, red bass, coral trout; Dogtoothe Tuna and many more species.

The offshore flyfishing potential is enormous. The are lots of huge doggies waiting to be caught and plenty of shots at world records at certain reefs.  The wahoo in the 70-100lb class are prolific in the temperate months.

The vessels are specifically designed to be able to cater for fly anglers, and dories are perfect to fish from with only 2 fly anglers per boat. There are 4 Kevlacat Flycaster dories specially designed to be deployed from the mothership plus 2 x 35ft gameboats to offer anglers the most diverse range of fishing options imaginable.

Species available on fly include Dogtooth Tuna, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Giant Trevally, Marlin, Sailfish, Coral Trout, Red Bass and many more. There are over 30 species to target on fly.

Our flyfishing trips are best organised with groups of either 4, 6, 8 or 12 flyfishers so we can best organise numbers on the trips. If you are a smaller group of say 4-6, we can still cater for you on one of our mixed trips, but to be able to do this we need the right number of flyfishers so you can flyfish all day and we can have the right groups on the right boats..... this is an adventure of a lifetime and we want to get it right for you!
